First Night Monterey 2014 SeaChanges

Young filmmakers explore their voices, their dreams and their environments. This year’s program features films in which teenagers create light bulbs for slums from repurposed plastic bottles, where students create hip hop jams about the pleasures of belonging to the Chemistry club, and where students fight the pressures to give up on their dreams of studying art in school. All of the locally made films were created in workshops that will continue through an ongoing partnership of CSUMB with the Philip Glass Center for Arts, Science and the Environment.
